Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy." And so, Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." Several studies have taken place that correlate reiki with a reduction in stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Integral sound healing is the use of specific sound modalities to integrate the healing of the body, mind, emotions, spirit and soul. Integral sound healing is based on the premise these five elements that form both us and the environment in which we live are integrated, and so to heal, we must work to integrate healing in all aspects holistically.
Research has been conducted and without a doubt it has been proven that musical therapy is an integral part of our lives and death.
Marllyn A. Mendoza Ph.D sums this up beautifully in her article:-
“The Power of Music at the End of Life – When words are not enough.”

“Music is an important part of our celebrations and transitions in life. Our final transition from this life is also a time when the power of music can be important to provide peace and comfort, not only to the dying but to family members as well. Research into the use of music in hospice and palliative care has consistently found that patients, family, and staff all benefit from the music, and often after only one session. Music has been found to help decrease anxiety, agitation, and pain. It also helps patients to slow and deepen their breath.”
